    lay_28_34.jpg
(HealthNewsDigest.com) - Let's gear up for exercise, that is! It's Spring, we're spending more time outdoors, and we've got time to get into better shape for summer. Whether we exercise outdoors or in the gym, let's gear up, meaning let's get the habit going. Let's do it for our waistline and let's do it especially for our health.

Phys. Ed. Is Not Dead Yet
    MaryCarmichael-thumb7.jpg
(HealthNewsDigest.com) - As a kid, I hated P.E. class so much that the word "kick-ball" still gives me shudders. It was embarrassing (gym shorts) and, worse, it seemed useless, at least to my 12-year-old self. I was already in decent shape, and although some of my classmates didn't get much exercise outside P.E., the class was no remedythey didn't get much inside it, either. The only kids who liked P.E. were the jocks, who didn't need it. Why, I wondered, didn't we just get rid of the class?

    Exercising with Allergies!
    lay_28_30.jpg
(HealthNewsDigest.com) - Spring is officially here and soon we'll see buds forming on the trees. Many of us look forward to taking our exercise outdoors when spring begins but many of us also suffer from allergies making our exercise less pleasant (we don't want to make our exercise unpleasant, do we?). While most allergens are harmless, trigger a runny or stuffed nose making breathing difficult, they can also trigger an asthma attack in some of us (please consult with your doctor how to manage this).

Exercise Your Body, Not Your Excuses
